Growing up, Stewart‘s greatest passion was motion films. He spent most of his adolescence filming everything with an 8mm camera and working in video stores. In his early 20′s he decided to try something different, he picked up his father’s 35mm camera and had an epiphany. To start telling a story with still film, instead of motion film. Little frozen moments in time. After 12 months of experimenting and exploring, he got into a well known art college at Seven Hills.
7 years, 7 silver & gold awards (appa, out of 10), 3 cars, 2 studios, 1 (crazy) border collie, 1 (gorgeous:) wife and 1 (very cute) kid later… he’s still loving every minute of it. Which I believe is a must when you’re photographing people who are in love. Stew brings a sense of timing, a sense of style and above all, a sense of humour to every shoot!
Stew’s philosophy is quite simple… photograph everything! Every detail, every guest, every angle, every landscape, every child. Instead of photographing the bride and groom only all day, he focuses on documenting the story of your day. A story with pictures, instead of words. We love nothing more, than to document life as it naturally occurs. This is Stew’s vision, to let things happen by themselves.
If you like what you see, chances are you’ll like us too :)
